Jake Muller has been all over the world and seen plenty of strange things, but everything he believes is challenged when he finds a girl, standing on a frozen lake in Upper Michigan, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt with no footprints leading to her — not even her own.

But getting the girl to the hospital doesn’t mean she’s out of danger. Government agencies and mysterious Men In Black are closing in, and Jake Muller is beginning to take it personally.

And he’s got a few tricks of his own…

The adventure of Indiana Jones meets the intrigue of The X-Files in this new series that takes audio drama to a new level.

An absolute masterpiece in the audio drama field! There were a few parts (mostly toward the beginning) where the acting felt a bit… off. But that improved overall throughout the story. And many of the actors were amazing! Especially Dugan Sherbondy. His character of Jake Muller really reminded me of Jason Whittaker from Adventures in Odyssey. Phil Lollar as Bryan Omak was fabulous! And Aimee Lilly as Sharon Lane was only in one scene, but all her scared and in pain noises were so realistic! I’m glad she’s coming back in later albums. Charles Adams, David Cwi, and Peter Berwick made really great men in black. Two others who I thought did an exceptional job were Sean Eric Wesslund as Dr. Holeman and Randy Streu as Agent Beck. The actor played Andreas Legio had a very villainous voice and he overall did an excellent job, but to be honest, his European accent sounded very fake. But the sound design is absolutely top-notch. And the music score is over top-notch! One final thing that kind of bugged me: Jake, Nate, and Agent Beck all seemed to have very similar personalities to me. They all phrased things in very similar ways. Of course, the same person wrote all their lines, but it seemed like they didn’t have their own character voice. It wasn’t a huge deal for me (people being similar is a thing), it was just something that sometimes bugs me slightly whenever I listen. So this isn’t a completely perfect audio drama (not that anything can be completely perfect), but this is an amazing audio drama geared toward an older audience! It far exceeds many other audio content out there, and I won’t be surprised if The Jake Muller Adventures improves as time progresses.

As a producer and fan of audio dramas myself, I loved this audio drama! Loved how they dealt with the UFO topic, and, of course, the music and sound design were top-notch! The only complaint I had at the end was that they don’t have all the seasons available yet! Can’t wait for more!

This is my favorite audio drama ever!

There are so many audio dramas geared towards kids, but very few for teens and adults. If you need a really great Christian audio drama that is for teens, this is the one!!!!

  4. Stephen

Thrilling, suspenseful, and entertaining. You’ll listen from start to finish, and be hungry for the next adventure! When is that coming by the way????

Great storyline, with some funny zingers mixed into the suspense.

If you haven’t experienced audio drama before, you’re in for a treat! Darby Kern & Co. have put together the makings of a solid thriller, expertly embellished with lush cinematic music and vivid sound effects. But what will keep you listening is the engaging plot, full of action, drama and twists to keep you guessing. Listening to audio drama is much better than hearing audio books narrated; nothing compares to actors playing off each other, evoking strong visuals in the minds of listeners.
Jake Muller is a hero for our times…brave, charismatic, funny, and above all, principled. And he’s up against what is looking to be the most dangerous villain of all time (you’ll have to listen to find out)!

Jake Muller Adventure is full of Mystery, drama and suspense on every corner.
It also conveys truths about our world views and how they effect us.
We can’t wait to hear what adventures are yet to come towards Jake Muller.

    God Bless

I ain’t pie-eyed, this show is excellent! From the dialogue to the sound design to the music, Unidentified kept me on my toes the whole way through. Every scene ties in perfectly with those around it, resulting in a captivating production. Jake’s actor nailed his part and was an amazing protagonist, and it was great to hear Phil Lollar (familiar to me) in a supporting role in the cast.
I absolutely loved Unidentified, but there were certainly one or two tweaks that could have been made. It’s wonderful that there are so many 5-star ratings, but mine is more about a 4. For the life of me, I couldn’t get used to Julianne’s actress, talented though she is. The television in Arianna’s first scene is too quiet and hard to understand. And Darby’s cameo, though amusing, probably should have been cut for clarity and time. However, these were tiny, nit-picky things that stood out in an otherwise spotless production. I will definitely be looking forward to the Jake Muller Adventures as new episodes are produced!
P.S. Thanks to Audio Theatre Central for the recommendation!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Jake Muller Adventures. The first story, Unidentified, was really well-written, with solid acting as high production values. I’m looking forward to hearing more in the future!

This was a great story!! When we bought the CD I thought we’ll see. I was so surprised by it all!! The storyline, music and sound effects were great!! A lot of audio stories are so boring because they have no sound effects or music. But this was very good, just like you were there in the story!! Can’t wait for the next one to come out!!

This is a superb work! High-action, fast-paced, with plenty of cliffhangers to keep you roped in. Definitely worth the money. I hope more come soon!

Action? Suspense? Danger? Then this is a MUST! My husband and I listened to this on a road trip, and it kept us on the edge of our seats!! The sound effects and music are AMAZING!! We were curious to see how they were going to bring in the UFO/SYFY storyline, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint!! We cannot wait for the next Jake Muller adventure!

I bought two of these albums, one for my grandkids and one for me. Let me tell you this audio drama is of the highest quality. Such an intriguing storyline, the characters are so believable, the sound design is stellar and literally made me shiver at times, the music is perfect and complements the story in the best way. You guys have reached the upper echelons of the audio drama world, and I cannot wait to hear the other stories you have coming out! Five stars all the way!

I finished listening to this and thoroughly enjoyed it! It has some of the best action, music, and sound design for an audio drama. Great acting by all involved, too! The only real downside? It had so many unanswered questions that I’m dying to hear the answers to. Can’t wait to hear the next production and learn more!
